Every Life Matters is a multi-country initiative developed and implemented (2017-2020) in three countries by Light for the World in collaboration with local partners.
Every Life Matters focuses on the development of disability inclusive practices in sexual & reproductive health and eye care.
The program partners with 14 health centers (9 SRH health centers and 5 eye care units/hospitals) across three countries: Mozambique, Ethiopia and Rwanda.
The main objective of the program is to design, test and adapt disability-inclusive interventions in healthcare system (with the specific focus on SRH and eye care), stimulate collaboration between health care providers, disabled peoples organizations and specialized institutions working in the area of health.
Every Life Matters embraces holistic approach to program development and implementation: we target persons with disabilities but work with the whole community so that everyone benefits from inclusive and adapted services.
The program pays a particular attention to sustainability of its practices involving local health care providers, CSOs and government actors in developing and contextualizing their inclusive healthcare experiences.
