The board of Light for the World Netherlands has appointed Dicky Nieuwenhuis as director. She will start her job on July 15th. She succeeds Ton ten Hove, to whom was said goodbye recently due to a serious illness.
Dicky Nieuwenhuis has extensive experience in development cooperation, among other things as a member of the board of directors of Woord en Daad. In recent years she has been working on the cutting edge of development cooperation and inclusion of disabled people on behalf of the Dutch Coalition on Disability and Development and Liliane Fonds.
Chairman Menno van Hulst: “We look forward to working with Dicky and have confidence in the future of Light for the World under her leadership. We would like to thank Matthijs Nederveen greatly, who, as interim director, led the organization for more than two years effectively.”
